Not included here:

OMAX Intelli-CAM^tm is a separate download and installer. OMAX Intelli-CAM is a free application available to OMAX customers that enables robust 3D file importing, easy 3D to 2D conversion, and easy yet powerful 3D tool path planning. It runs stand-alone, but can also be launched from inside many popular 3D CAD systems using the provided plug-ins. To obtain your copy of Intelli-CAM, please visit the OMAX Technical Support web site.

To Install

Run the appropriate installer by double clicking on it.

If you have a previous version of the OMAX software installed, then this new installer will either install right on top of the old, or ask you to remove the old prior to installing. If it asks you to remove the old, do so using the provided wizard (do NOT hand delete files.) If it does not ask you to remove the old, then simply run the installer. Note: Un-installing the software via the provided wizard will properly preserve your critical machine settings, so they will be available to the new software once it is installed. Once older software has been un-installed, simply run the installer again to install the new.

View the supported, minimum and recommended system requirements

Note: Some antivirus software can severely affect the speed at which the software is installed or un-installed. This may cause the installer to go very slowly and appear to be locked up. The solution is to either give it the time it needs, or temporarily disable your antivirus software to allow the installer to run at full speed.

Note: If you are installing a new language (e.g. "French") on top of a different language, it is strongly recommended to un-install the old language completely before installing the new software using the Windows un-install feature. This will prevent a possible conflict.

Note: The installer is complete, and does not require an Internet connection during the install.

Note: When downgrading the software (installing an older version of the software when a newer version is already installed), it is strongly recommended to manually un-install the software prior to running the older installer.

Run the Tutorial in the OMAX Interactive Reference, which is installed automatically with Layout and Make for Windows. This tutorial will give you the 'big picture" of how to make a part.

Additional training CD's and DVD's are available with hours of online software training. Contact OMAX if you are interested in obtaining them. These videos are also available to stream from the Internet from the OMAX Technical Support Web Site.
